It all started in 1966 when I purchased my first Lambretta at the age of 16.  In those days I lived in Freezywater, off the Hertford Road in Enfield,  North London.

My Lambretta was an old blue ex RAC LI150 Series 2 , complete with sidecar, I soon took the sidecar off as that had no street credibility!!!

I used to hang out with the Waltham Cross Scooter boys and we used to meet outside HARRY FENTONS or PAUL JEFFERIES mens’s outfitters, in the high street.  We used  to cruise up and down between CHESHUNT (THE OLD POND) to EDMONTON (THE ANGEL)  Not forgetting trips to SOUTHEND, CLACTON & BRIGHTON of course.

I still live for the 60s and I think myself lucky to have been a teenager  in those times. The music, live groups & flower power, etc were at their peak and it was an exciting and unique period in time.

I was fortunate in recent years to fulfill my dream and have been able to re-purchased a classic Lambretta which I believe appeared, alongside many other extras in the classic movie film Quadrophenia.  It now has pride of place  along side my vintage Stratacasters Guitars.  These are mainly Watkins Rapiers 22’s, 33’s and 44’s from the early 60’s as seen on the official Watkins website.

I tried to be a budding Guitarist in the 60’s but never made it! I did however become a  Mobile D.J  in 1977 playing at venues like ELTONS in Tottenham which used to be called THE EAGLE PUB back then,
